DEED: Lee, 1801, Madison Co Richard Lee Madison County Kentucky Deed Book E 1800 – 1805 Page 226 – 227 FHC film #0183286 This Indenture made this sixteenth day of September in the year of our lord one thousand eight hundred and one Between Robert Caldwell in-of the County of Madison and Commonwealth of Kentucky of the one part and Richard Lee of the County and Commonwealth aforesaid of the other part. Witneseth that the said Robert Caldwell for and in Consideration of the sum of one hundred pounds Current money of Kentucky to him in hand paid the receipt whereof I do hereby acknowledge and forever acquit and Discharge the said Richard Lee his heirs Executors and Administration hath bargained sold alind and Confirmed and by these presents do Grand bargain sell alin and Confirm unto the said Richard Lee his heirs and assigns forever all that had a parcel of land lying and being in the County of Madison and State of Kentucky in the waters of Taylor’s Fork of Silver Creek and bounded as follows. Beginning at a hickory tree standing in the line of George Smith thence South (?) thirty seven degrees east forty poles to a sugar tree thence South forth five degrees east _____form (?)poles to a hickory and Sugar tree thence South twenty five degrees west forty poles to two sugar trees thence North twenty degrees west one him (?) and twelve poles to a hickory and elm trees thence north twenty degrees east ninety form (?) poles to the Beginning. To have and to hold the aforesaid _____or parcel of land Together with all improvements water courses profits and Appurtenances whatsoever to the premises belonging or in any wise appurtenanning and the _____ remainders and profits thereof and all the estate _____ Title Interest property claim and Demand of him the said Robert Caldwell if in and to the same To have and to hold the lands hereby Conveyed with all and Singular _____ premises and every part and parcel them of with every of the appurtenances unto the said Richard lee his heirs and assigns forever to the only proper use and behoof of him the said Richard lee his heirs and assigns forever and the said Robert Caldwell for himself his heirs executor and administrator do Covenant from all and agree to and with the said Richard Lee his heirs and assigns by these presents that the premises before mentioned now are and forever hereafter shall remain frie of and from all _______and these Gifts Grants Bargains sales dowers _____and Title of Dower Judgments Executions titles ______Charges and incumbrances whatsoever done or sufficient to be done by him the said Robert Caldwell. And the said Robert Caldwell for himself his heirs all and Singular the premises hereby bargained and sold with the appurtenances unto the said Richard lee his heirs and assigns against him to said Robert Caldwell and his heirs and all and every other person or persons whatsoever to the said Richard lee his heirs or assigns doth and will warrant and forever defend by these presents.
