Deed Book 7, page 516

For and in consideration of four Hundred and Twenty five Dollars to be paid to 
me by Jesse Smith for which Sum I hold his obligation payable in two Anual 
payments, I have this day Sold to the said Smith fifty acres of land lying on 
wilsons run generally Known by the name of McGinniss place to include the House 
and plantation where Hezekiah McGinnis formerly lived on adjoining the land of 
William Starling, Joseph McDowell, William McDowell and the land [crossed out] 
said Jesse Smith which fifty acres of land I bought of Samuel McGinnis and have 
assigned Said Samuels obligation to the said Smith for the title and to Secure 
to the Said Smith more fully a good and perminent title I do hereby bind and 
oblige myself my heirs &c to warrent & defend the said bargained premises to 
the Said Smith and his Heirs forever.  In testimony whereof I have Hereunto Set 
my hand and affixed my Seal this 16th day of January 1810.
