Ivie Fee paid Deld This indenture made and entered into this 1st day of October 1852 between William Wells and Claibourn Wells of the one part and John Ivie of the other part all of the county of Calloway and state of Kentucky witnesseth that the said William and Claibourn Wells for and in consideration of the sum of fifty dollars in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath granted bargained and sold and by these presents doth grant bargain sell and convey unto the said John Ivie his heirs and assigns a certain tract or parcel of lying and being in the south east corner of the north east quarter of section Three Township Two range five east being the fourth part of the above named quarter section of land in a square containing forty acres together with all and singular the appurtenances thereunto belonging or in anywise appertaining to have and to hold the land hereby conveyed with the appurtenances unto the said John Ivie his heirs and assigns forever and the said William Wells and Clabourn Wells for themselves their heirs executors and administrators the aforesaid tract of land unto the said John Ivie his heirs or assigns against the claim or claims of all and every person or persons whatsoever doth and forever will warrant and defend by virtue of these presents. In witness whereof the said William Wells and Claibourn Wells together with Rebecca Wells the wife of the said Claibourn Wells who hereby relinquishes her right of dower to the land conveyed by this deed hath hereunto set their hands and seals this Oct 1st 1852 the day and date above written. Ellison Clerk of the county court for the county aforesaid do certify that this deed from William and Claibrn Wells and Rebecca Wells wife of the said Claibrn Wells to John Ivie was on the 2nd day of October 1852 acknowledged by the said William and Claibrn Wells to be their act and deed and on the 2nd day of May 1853 the same was also acknowledged by Rebecca Wells (the wife of the said Claibrn Wells) to be her act and deed as required by law and duly lodged for record whereupon the same together with this certificate hath been duly admitted to record in my office.
