MARRIAGE: Carden to Ellis, 1874, Barren Co. 

"Married. On Friday evening at 8 1/2 o'clock at the residence of Wood Shobe,
Esqr., in Glasgow, by Elder N. G. Terry, Mr. Lucian W. Carden to Miss Ella
Ellis, only daughter of William Ellis, Esq., all of this county.

"If a handsome, lovely and intelligent bride can make man happy, our friend
Lucian out [ought] to be ecstatic with bilss, for she was one of the
lovliest women in the county, and deserved the worthy, energetic and clever
husband whom she chose.

"The many friends of the happy couple - and they are many indeed - will wish
for them that happy voyage that always attends the noble and worthy in the
piltramage of life."
