Carlton.Ambrose.Unknown.BIOS

AMBROSE CARLTON was a native of Virginia, born in 1764, and about the year
1788 married MARY MOTGOMERY, of his native State.  Their family consisted of
five children, and in 1816 they settled in Lawrence County, Indiana, where
they lived the balance of their lives.  Mr. Carlton was one of the pioneer
preachers of Indiana in the Baptist faith.  His death occurred in 1832.
