"Mrs. D. R. Carr Dead. Mrs. D. R. Carr died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. 
Geo. Ganter, of this place, Sunday evening at three o'clock. Death was due to a 
complication resulting from influenza.

"Mrs. Carr was sixty-two years of age.

"Before her marriage she was Miss Jennie Lynn, a member of an old and 
influential Cumberland County family.

"Surviving are her husband, Judge D. R. Carr, Glasgow, and two children, Mrs. 
Geo. Ganter, of this place, and Mr. Lynn Carr, of Goldsboro, N.C.

"After funeral services by Rev. E. W. Elliott, of the Christian church, of 
which she was a devoted member, burial was in the Glasgow cemetery, yesterday 
afternoon.

"Mrs. Carr was a woman of high ideas, and of splendid christian character, and 
as a devoted mother and wife, and her death causes sorrow in many hearts
- of those who knew and loved her."
