He was a retired switchman for Interlake Steel Corp., Wilder, and an Army veteran of World War II.He was a member of Christian Church of God, Alexandria. A son, Arch Caudill, died in 1985. Survivors include his wife, Mary Caudill; daughters, Deloris Meader of Ft. Wright, Barbara Clemons of Dayton, Shirley Hobbs and Carol Caudill, both of Sold Spring; sons Sam Caudill Jr. of Cincinnati, Alisha Caudill and Tom Caudill, both of Cold Spring, and Rev. Roy Caudill of Alexandria; sisters, Nancy Orr of Paxton, Ill., and Peggy Wayne of missouri; 26 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Serevices will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Cooper Funeral Home, Grants Lick. Visitation will be there from 4 to 8 tonight. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Southgate.
