Fannie Harlan Oakes married Joseph S. Peck (on 23 May 1891 in Lincoln County, 
Kentucky?).  She married Thomas Elbert Cecil on 11 October 1918, and is buried 
in Buffalo Springs Cemetery in Stanford, Lincoln County, Kentucky.  Fannie's 
father, James Thomas Oakes was likely born in Wayne County, Kentucky.  He was a 
son of Thomas Oakes and Elizabeth ("Bettie") Marcum (or Markham), who had 
married in Wayne County, Kentucky on 26 April 1830.  Elizabeth Vanhook, 
daughter of Benjamin Lorton Vanhook and Permelia Curtley (or Hicks?) was born 
in Pulaski County, Kentucky or perhaps Rockcastle County, Kentucky (as stated 
in her marriage records).
