Marriage Bond: Jacob KESSINGER & Rebekah CLENDENAN
 Know all men by these presents that we, Jacob Kesinger & John Mclaughlin, are 
held and firmly bound unto James Garrard, Governor, and his successors in the 
p____ (?) sum of fifty pounds current money which payment well and truly to be 
done and made we bind ourselves, our heirs be firmly by these presents.  Sealed 
with our seals and dated this 1st day of Sept. 1797.
   The Conditions of the above obligation is such that if there be no Lawfull 
cause to obstruct a marriage intended to be had and solumnized between the 
above bound Jacob Kesinger and Reckah [Rebekah] Clendenan then the above 
obligation to be void or else to stand and remain in full force and vertue of

(Note:This marriage appears in the book of Kentucky Marriages as Jacob 
Hessinger and Rebekah Cloudman.) 

I am researching Rebekah CLENDENNON. I believe that she is the daughter of Adam 
Clendenen who was living in Green Co. KY at that time, in an area which later 
became Barren Co. KY, right near the border of Hardin Co. KY. I am not certain 
that this Rebekah Clendennon is the one I am looking for.
