Glasgow (KY) Weekly Times, 14 Apr 1897.
"Mr. John Cloyd died at his home near Big Meadow Church, in the edge of 
Metcalfe county, last Saturday, at about seventy-five years of age. He was a 
good citizen and will be missed by a large number of friends and relatives. He 
leaves an aged wife and two daughters, Mrs. Haden Pulliam and Mrs. Williams, of 
near Slick Rock."
