The weapon used was a shotgun. Breckinridge News, Cloverport, Ky, Wednesday, November 30, 1904 Page 1, Column 1 WAS AT STEPHENSPORT (BRECKINRIDGE COUNTY) -- Edgar JARBOE, who shot and killed Henry CODY near Leopold, Perry County, Indiana, on Sunday, November 20, 1904, was apprehended last week at Paducah in McCracken County, Ky, by local authorities and Sheriff CUNNINGHAM, who had followed JARBOE down the Henderson Route Monday night, returned with him Wednesday to Cannelton, Indiana and placed him in jail. JARBOE will make out a case of self-defense. After doing the shooting, JARBOE went to Rome, Indiana (Perry County), where he put up at the hotel for the night. Monday morning he crossed over to Stephensport, Ky., and took a Henderson Route train to Paducah.
