Deed Bk C, p 75-77 McGAVOCKS; COE; CROWDER; READ; HELM This Indenture made this twelfth day of February one thousand eight hundred & five between Randal McGAVOCKS of the County of Davidson and State of Tennessee of the one part and Timothy COE of the County of Hardin and State of Kentucky of the other part. Witnesseth that the said Randal McGAVOCKS for and in consideration of five hundred Dollars to him in hand paid by the said Timothy COE the Receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath bargained and Sols and by these presents doth bargain and sell unto the said Timothy COE a certain tract or parcel of land containing four hundred acres, being part of a tract of fourteen hundred and fourteen acres, by patent bearing date the sixteenth day of May one thousand eight hundred and one lying and being in the said County of Hardin on the dividing ridge between the Rolling fork of Sale river and the west fork of Sinking Creek adjoining a Survey of George TANKERSLEY of one thousand acres on the East and Bounded as follow to with. Begining at the north east corner a Red oak white oak and Walnut thence with his line south three hundred and ninety six poles to two hickorys and a Red oak passing TANKERSLEYS corner at two hundred and eighty poles thence East one hundred and Sixty two poles to a Stake thence North three hundred and ninety six poles to a Stake, thence West one hundred and sixty two poles to the Begining together with all and singular the appurtenances & hereditaments thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining to the said Timothy COE and his heirs forever and the said Randal McGAVOCK for himself and his heirs the said tract or parcel of Land with the appurtenances (except a part of the tract aforesaid which inter feres with a tract of or belonging to the said Timothy COE and on which he now lives) to the said Timothy COE and his heirs against the legal Claim of all persons whatsoever will warrant and forever defend by these presents.
