VELORICE N. COLE

Velorice N. Cole, 87, Sturgis, died Friday at Community Battle Creek
Health Systems, in Battle Creek, MI.

Mrs. Cole was the oldest member of New Salem Baptist Church. She was
originator of Church Anniversary Celebration. She enjoyed cooking, quilting
and sewing.

She is preceeded in death by her husband in 1988.

Survivors include one foster daughter, Glenda Bridge of San
Bernardina, CA; two sons, Emmerin and Carl of Battle Creek, MI; one brother,
Gwynn Willis of Indianapolis, IN; and a special friend, Mary Corrine
Lawrence;  seven grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and two great great
grandchildren.

Services were at 11am Friday at New Salem Baptist Church in Sturgis,
with Rev. Warren McKinney officiating. Burial was at New Salem Baptist 
Cemetery.
