Mrs. Sue Compton, 62 year old Locust Hill resident, died Friday, December 14, 
2001 at Breckinridge Memorial Hospital.  Mrs. Compton was born August 16, 1939 
in Locust Hill, a daughter of Mrs. Nancy Horsley Davis of Harned, and the late 
Clayburn Davis.  She was the retired owner and operator of a variety store and 
a member of the Locust Hill Untied Methodist Church.  A son, Frankie Compton, 
and a daughter, Wanda Kay Compton, preceded her in death. 
Survivors other than her mother include her husband, Johnny Compton; three 
daughters, Lynn Taul, Locust Hill, Pamela White, Leitchfield, and April 
Gleason, Stephensport; a stepdaughter, Peggy Carwile, Bowling Green; two sons, 
Jeffrey Compton, Locust Hill, and Mark Compton, Harned; two sisters, Margie 
Armes, Westview, and Brenda Eiland, Harned; two brothers, Larry Davis, 
Hardinsburg, and Bennie Davis, Harned; 10 grandchildren, and two great- 
grandchildren. 
Services were held at 1pm Monday, December 17, from Locust Hill United 
Methodist Church with burial in Locust Hill Cemetery.  Trent-Dowell Funeral 
Home, Hardinsburg, was in charge of arrangements.  Memorial contributions may 
be made to Relay for Life.
