Obituary 
JOHN WALLACE CONLEY, age 73, of Salyersville died of a sudden illness at his 
home.  Mr. Conley was a lifelong resident of Magoffin County and made his home 
at Falcon for many years until moving to town several years ago. 
Mr Conley was engaged in farming and pumped oil on his property for years as 
well.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Rhoda Emily (Caudill) Conley just 
20 days ago. 
Survivors include a daughter Miss Mattie Jane Conley of Salyersville and sons 
Claude Conley of Falcon; Sonny B. Conley and Proctor Conley of Salyersville 
and Jesse F. Conley of Falcon. 
He was preceded in death my sons Chester in 1894, Ollie Marshall in 1903, 
Scott Conley in 1909 and Boyd Conley in 1925. 
Burial took place at the Caudill Cemetery in Falcon.

Additional Comments: 
John W. and his wife Rhoda were ill in bed at the same time and she 
predeceased him by only 20 days.
