Died: Wednesday, 26 July 1995, T J Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow KY,
extended illness, age 73.
Retired farmer, sawmill operator, had been a partner in Cropper Brother
Lumber Co. U S Army veteran of WW II where he was a Corporal serving the
37th Combat Engineeres. Participated in the D-Day invasion of Omaha Beach,
was awarded four Bronze Stars during his three years of service.
Son of the late Bruce and Melia Ann Sadler Cropper
Survivors:
Wife: Olene Cornwell Cropper
Son: Jerry L Cropper of Gamaliel
Brother: Alvin Ray Cropper of Gamaliel
Several nieces and nephews
Preceded also in death by:
Brothers; Winfred and Clyde Cropper
Sister: Bessie Driver
Services: 1 pm Saturday, 29 July 1995, Strode's Gamaliel Chapel, burial
location missing.
