Herald Mr. Cooper William "Bill" Calvin Cooper, 78, of Garrison, died Sunday, June 19, 2005, at 5:25 p.m., at his home, fol­lowing an extended illness. Born January 24, 1927, in Lewis County, he was a son of the late George Washing­ton and Rhoda Lee Sparks Cooper. He was retired as a sawmill worker with Oval Goodwin' Sawmill in Van­ceburg and was a member of Bivens Chapel Church. Surviving are his wife of 50 years, ,Mollie Johnson Cooper; two, daughters, Rosemary (Cliff) Applegate of Vanceburg and Teresa (Billy) Moore of Garrison; six sons, Gene (Pam) Coop­er, William (Laura) Cooper, Eddie (Betty) Cooper and Boyd Cooper, all of Garri­son, Richard (Linda) Coop­er and Paul (Donna) Cooper of Crestline, Ohio; one sis­ter, Audrey Louderback of Oak Hill, Ohio; two broth­ ers, Walter "Dick" Cooper and Earl Cooper, both of Garrison; 19 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; four step-great-grandchildren; and one great-great- grandchild. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Dreama Lou Cooper; five sisters, Maimie Horsley, Gladys Bevins, Kate McCleese, Mae Cooper and Eileen Cooper; and four broth­ers, Elwood Cooper, Pat Coo­per, Ralph Cooper and George Cooper. Services will be con­ducted Wednesday, June 22, 2005, at I :00 p.m., at Garri­ son Funeral Chapel. Bro. Clarence Hall and Bro. Wes Cooper will officiate with burial in Cooper-Willis Ce­metery at Garrison. Visita­tion will be from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. Tuesday and from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of services Wednesday at the funeral home.
