MRS COPELAND 

Violet Marie copeland, 71, of Edgewood Manor Riverview Nursing Facility at 
Lucasville, died Friday, June 14, 1991 at the scioto Memerial Hospital. 
She was a former resident of Vanceburg. 
Mrs Copeland was the widow of Orvan Clyde Copeland, who died in 1978. She was 
born Feb. 13, 1920 in Adams County, Ohio, the daughter of the late Charles and 
Cora Mae Liter Spriggs. 
Survivers include two daughters, Madonna Pauline Copeland, of Vanceburg and 
Neva Lou Brown, of Newport, two sisters, Ethel P. Durban, of Vanceburg and 
Alma Moffett, of Frankfort, and two grandchildren. 
She was preceded in death by four brothers, Guy Spriggs, Paul Spriggs, Gordan 
Spriggs and cecil Spriggs, and two sisters, Meryl Rupe and Gladys Cogan. 
Funerial services were held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, June 17, at Dickerson Funeral 
Home with Rev. Lonnie Daughtery officiating. 
Burial was in the Concord Cemetery.
