Born March 26, 1944, in Stanford, he was the son of the late William F. and Allene Newland Cordier. He was an insurance agent for Creech and Stafford Insurance Agency. He was a graduate of Eastern Kentucky University with a bachelor's degree in business administration/management. He served as a radio man in the Navy from 1964-1967. He also worked as a manager of the Berea College Log House sales room, a bookkeeper at Bluegrass Coca-Cola, and was an insurance agent for Metropolitan Life and C.J. Lear and Co. He was a member of Gardenside Baptist Church where he served as an deacon and church moderator. Survivors include his wife, Carla Goodrich Cordier; a son, Jonathan D. Cordier of Lexington; two brothers, Robert E. Cordier of Georgetown, Texas, and Harry C. Cordier of Nicholasville; and a grandson. He was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Caroline Cordier. Services were today at Gardenside Baptist Church. Burial was in Buffalo Springs Cemetery in Stanford. Memorials may go to one's favorite charity. W.R.
