"Bedford Coulter, a retired farmer of the Boles community, succumed due to a pre-dawn fire at his home Monday, February 4, 1974. He was 76, the son of the late John and Jane Hale Coulter. Survivors include four sisters, Mrs. Floyd Hale, Mrs. Euca Guffey, and Mrs. Lorah Reecer, all of Tompkinsville, and Miss Weltha Coulter, of Tennessee; two brothers, Basil Coulter, of Ohio, and Plez Coulter, Tennessee. Funeral services were held at Strode Funeral Home Chapel Tuesday, February 5, at 1:30 pm with Rev. Lemuel Davis and Rev. Paul Strong officiating. Burial was in Harlens Cross Road Cemetery."
