Deed Bk C., p 62, 63 COX; HAYCRAFT; GRUNDY; ALLIN; SPPED; MORRISON; SUTHERLAND; WICKLIFF; HELM This Indenture made this twenty Eighth day of January Eighteen hundred and five between Gabriel COX and Elizabeth his wife both of the County of Nelson of the one part and James HAYCRAFT of the County of Hardin of the other part. Wittnesseth that the said Gabriel COX and Elizabeth his wife in consideration of the sum of one hundred and fifty pounds current money of Kentucky to them in hand paid have granted bargained and sold and by these presents do grant bargain & sell unto the said James HAYCRAFT a certain tract or parcel of Land Situate in the County of Hardin on the waters of Rude's Creek containing one Hundred and fifty acres. Beginning at a stake in the line of Gabriel COX'es 1000 acre tract running thence South forty one degrees West two hundred and twenty two poles to two white oaks and a white Ash. thence North forty nine Degrees West one hundred and Eighty poles to a large whit oak maple and elm Standing in the flat land of FUNKS Grove thence North fifty forty one degrees East two hundred and twenty two poles to a stake in the division line between THELORS [?] & GEIGER & FUNK being also a corner to Daniel MORRISONS 50 acre survey thence south forty nine degrees East one hundred and eight poles to the Beginning. To have and to hold the aforesaid Tract of land with its appurtenances to the said James HAYCRAFT and his heirs forever and the said Gabriel COX and Elizabeth his wife do further covenant and agree with the said James HAYCRAFT that they will warrant and forever defend the aforesaid Tract of land with its appurtenances to the said James HAYCRAFT & his Heirs against themselves and their heirs and against the claim of all persons whatsoever. In Witness whereof the said Gabriel COX and Elizabeth his wife have hereunto set their Hands and Seals the day and year above written Sealed and delivered in presence of F. GRUNDY as to G. MORRISON, Robert WICKLIFF & Felix GRUNDY to be the act and Deed of said Gabriel as the law requites. And at the request of the aforesaid James HAYCRAFT the grantee herein I have truly recorded the same in my office the day of the date above.
