"Mrs. Texie Ann Crabtree died, age 80, wife of Dr. R. F. Crabtree of Monroe Co, at her home in Gamaliel. 
Children: Mrs. V. H. Jones and is grandmother of Mrs.
Ed. S. Pedigo. parents: John J and Lucy Ann Newman. Survivors besides husband and Ms. Jones are: Miss 
Ora Crabtree, Mrs. Verda Cochran, Ms. Iva Pierce, Grover Crabtree all of Nashville; Mrs. J. Hamilton of 
Franklin, Tenn; Louise Crabtree of Huntington, West Va; Mrs. Dave Clark and mr. Sanford Crabtree of 
Gamaliel.
Sistr: Mrs. W. H. Reaves of Bowling Green. Brothers: James Newman of Tompkinsville, Dr. Herbert 
Newman of Versailles; Robert Newman of Vernon, TX.
Interment Gamaliel Cemetery."
