William Jefferson Crabtree, age 96 years, died Tuesday morning at his home in 
the Ovesen Heights section, East of Hodgenville, following a long illness. 
He was a native of Green County, a farmer and the oldest member of Pleasant 
Grove Baptist Church at White City. 
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Grace Price Crabtree; 1 step daughter, Mrs. 
Charles Jones, of Illinois, and 1 brother, Albert Crabtree, of Elizabethtown. 
Also surviving are 4 step grandchildren and 1 step grandchild. 
Funeral services will be held at 2 o’clock this afternoon (Thursday) at 
Pleasant Grove Baptist Church at White City.  Interment will be in the church 
cemetery with Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home in charge.
