"Mr. Lee Crain died age 65. Farmer of Smiths Grove. Interred Smiths Grove
Cemetery. Children: Dee Lee, Nat C. Crain of Los Angeles; James Crain of
Alaska; Misses Annie and Mary Crain at home. (from Bowling Green Times). Mr.
Crain formerly of Barren Co., moved to Smiths Grove 25 years ago. Married
the widow of Col. Buck Maupin, sister of Geo. and Eugene Drane."

Unknown Glasgow (KY) newspaper, found in files of the late Eva Coe Peden.
