Last Saturday at 1 p.m., the funeral of Mrs. John CRISWELL was preached by Rev, PIKE, of Kelat, at M. E. Church at this place. He took for the foundation of his discourse, Psalm 23. Mrs. CRISWELL had been a member since childhood. She brought her two children up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord. Of her the words of Solomon were true: "She looketh well to the ways of her household, and eateth not of the bread of idleness. Her children arise up, and call her blessed: her husband also, and he praiseth her." The house was filled to its full capacity. Mr. James ROBERTS and daughter, Verna let the singing. Some very appropriate songs were rendered. When the beautiful white couch casket was opened she looked as if asleep. Mrs. CRISWELL was in her 78th year. She leaves a husband, six sons and two daughters, together with a host of relatives and friends to mourn her loss. From: "H. Jean Dalrymple" Date: 13 Aug 1998
