Wayne C. Cumming, 69, Irvington, died May 3, 2008, at Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown. 
He was born April 9, 1939, the son of the late Ernest Cumming.

He served in the U.S. Army from 1956 to 1959, was a former member of the VFW and a self-employed block mason and cement finisher.

Mr. Cumming is survived by his wife, Ida M. Cumming; a son, Grant W. Cumming, Clarkson, Mich.; a daughter, Kimberly Cumming, Lapeer, Mich.; a stepdaughter, Tina Rae Combs Ainley, Prescott, Ariz.; mother, Sylvia Cumming, St. Johns, Mich.; a granddaughter, Brittany Harville, Lapeer, Mich.; two step-granddaughters, Jill and Meg Ainley, Prescott, Ariz.; three sisters, Sylvia Amerman, Punta Gorda, Fla., Norene (Richard) Keshaw, Fenton, Mich. and Lola (Michael) Giordano, Waterford, Mich.; two brothers, Curt (Ruth) Cumming and Clark (Renee), Cumming both of Clarkson, Mich.; his K-9 friend, Buddy; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held May, 5, from the chapel of the Alexander Funeral Home in Irvington with burial in Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions go to the American Heart Association.

Pallbearers were Curt Cumming, Clark Cumming, Grant Cumming, Kent Cumming, Bill Cummings, and Terry Boyer.
