Glasgow (KY) Weekly Times, 30 Dec 1897.
"The remains of Rufus Cummins were brought through Glasgow Tuesday from 
Guthrie, Ky., where he was accidentally killed on the railroad last Saturday. 
None of the particulars of his death were known even by his relatives in 
Randolph.

"Young Cummins was the son of Mr. Jim Cummins, a well-known citizen of 
Randolph, at which place the remains were interred yesterday morning at 10 
o'clock."
