                         GEORGE DAMRON
     George Powell Damron of Millard died Wednesday, June 11, 1986 after 
a long fight with cancer.
     He was born September 5, 1917 at Yeager, a son of the late John A. 
and Nona Coleman Damron.
     He was a World War II veteran and former owner and operator of Damron 
T.V. Service at Millard.
     Survivors include one son, Roy Lee Damron of Elkhorn City; three 
daughters, Georgia Francis Damron, Betty Carol Illie and Stella Falay 
Patrick, all of Millard.
     Three brothers, Richard Damron of Lexington, Daniel Damron and Pete 
Damron, both of Yeager; three sisters, Martha Bentley of Lamar CO, Oma 
Honaker and Lillie Tackett both of Yeager; four grandchildren, George 
Illie and Angela Leigh Patrick, both of Millard, Roy Michael Damron and 
Matthew Gene Damron, both of Elkhorn City.
     Services were held Friday, June 13, at 3 p.m. at Justice Funeral Home,
with Old Regular Baptist ministers officiating. Burial followed at O.T. 
Hinton Mausoleum at Johnson Memorial Park of Pikeville.
