                      RUTH SLONE (DAMRON)
     Ruth Slone Damron, 67, of Lexington, formerly of Pike County, died
Saturday, December 8, at St. Joseph's Hospital in Lexington.
     She was born at East Shelbiana, a daughter of Deset James Slone of
Lexington and the late John S. Slone.
     She was a retired teacher, having taught in the Ashland City Schools.
     Besides her mother, she is survived by her husband, Richard B. Damron;
two daughters, Desetta Ruth Lawson and Rosa Lee Horton, both of Lexington; 
and five grandchildren.
     Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, December 11, at the
Southside Church of Christ. Burial followed in the Camp Nelson National 
Cemetery at Nicholasville. Arrangements were under direction of Milward 
Southland Mortuary, Lexington.
