Will of HENRY DARNALL, SR., deceased
I, Henry Darnall, Sr., of the county of Marshall and state of Kentucky, do hereby make this my last will and testament, in manner and form following, that is to say.  

1st, Whereas it is probable that Jane Darnall, my beloved wife, will be left a widow, at my decease, therefore to provide for her proper support and comfort, I desire that she live with my son Philip Darnall, to whom I hereby give two hundred and three dollars, one cow and calf, one good bed, bedstead and furniture, such and so much cooking utensils and cupboard ware as she may desire, and one year's provisions for her and Bill, for her, my wife Darnall's support and comfort during her natural life. 

2nd Whereas some of my daughters have not heretofore received as much assistance from me as the others, then make them equal in that respect, I give to my  daughter Martha Free, forty dollars in money; to Mary Rose, twenty dollars in money; to Jane House, fifty dollars in money; and to Sarah Runnils, my grandchild, ten dollars in money.  

3rd, I desire that all the perishable part of my estate be immediately sold after my decease by my Executors hereinafter named, and the proceeds arising therefrom, be equally divided among my several sons and daughters of their children, that is the children of my deceased sons and daughters, are to receive the share or part of their respective deceased parents.

And lastly, I do hereby constitute and appoint my sons Nicholas and Philip Darnall, Executors of this my last will and testament, hereby revoking all other wills or testaments by me heretofore made.  In witness whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal this 24th day of October, 1855.
