NEWS: Day, 50th anniversary, 1998 - Union Co

Mr. and Mrs. Dorris Eugene Day of Crittenden County, will celebrate their
50th wedding anniversary with an Open House on Sunday, June 14.

The Open House will be held from 2-4 at the Sturgis Kiwanis Building on
Monroe Street and all friends and relatives are invited. The couple
requests no gifts, please.

Dorris Euguene Day and Mamie Evelyn Day were married on June 19, 1948 in
the Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church in Sturgis with the Rev. John W.
Kloss as minister.

Witnesses were Lester and Carolyn Brantley.

The couple have four children - Ronnie Day of Sturgis; Sherry Lewis of
Amarillo, TX; Gary Day of Morganfield and Jeannie Hancock of Morganfiel
