Frances Elizabeth Singleton was born to Rev. Benjamin Franklin Singleton (who 
was likely born in Harrison County, Indiana, rather than in Meade County) and 
Martha Ann Allen.  Frances Elizabeth Singleton married Demetrius Elmore Deacon, 
son of Francis Marion Deacon and Alice Jolly Basham, on 27 November 1892, in 
Meade County, Kentucky.  The couple had four children -- Roscoe Emmons Deacon, 
Minnie Estelle Deacon, Ira Della Deacon, and Willa M. Deacon -- and, during 
their married life, resided in locations in both Breckinridge and Meade 
Counties of Kentucky.
