Mary Regina Askins DeJarnette, age 98 of Columbus, IN formerly of Hardinsburg,KY died Sunday, August 31,2008. She was born in Breckinridge County on 6-20-1910, the daughter of the late Albert Eugene and Mary Estella Ruppert Askins. She retired from Tobin's General Merchandise, was a member of St. 
Romuald Catholic Church and the Altar Society. Regina enjoyed quilting, sewing and reading. She was preceded in death by her husband: J T DeJarnette and her
brother: Ruppert Askins.
 
She is survived by 4 children: John T. DeJarnette, Jr. and Carolyn Mattingly of Columbus, IN Jim DeJarnette of Hardinsburg,KY Mary Ann Skene of Kissimmee, FL
13 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild
 
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 3, 2008 at 11AM CDT at St. Romuald Catholic Church with Fr. Tony Bickett officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation on Tuesday at Trent-Dowell Funeral Home from 3:30 - 8:00PM and after 8:30AM Wednesday.
