OBIT: Edith Dicken, 1977, Adair & Taylor Co. Submitted by Debbie Dicken Mrs. Edith Dicken of Route 1, Campbellsville, daughter of the late Lucian Hendrickson and Mrs. Lena Harmon Hendrickson, was born in Adair County, Ky., December 4, 1913. She died at 10:45 a.m., Wednesday, June 14, at the Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, Ind., where she had been a patient for the past four weeks. She was 64 years of age. She had professed faith in Christ early in life and was a member of the Campbellsville Christian Church. She was employed by the Union Underwear Company for some twenty-two years before her retirement in 1975. She united in marriage to Mr. Jimmy Dicken February 5, 1935. He preceded her in death April 21, 1972. To this union one son and three daughters were born: Mrs. Doris Jean Smith of Campbellsville, Route 1; Mr. James E. Dicken of Greensburg, Route 2; Mrs. Pauline Brown of Franklin, Ind.; and Mrs. Linda Lou Spaw of Cincinnati, Ohio. Besides her children, she is survived by twelve grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Mary Wilson of Campbellsville; one niece, Mrs. Mary Frances Neeley of Campbellsville. Funeral services were conducted at 2:00 p.m., Friday, June 16, at the Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home in Campbellsville by Rev. Tom Forester and Rev. Gerald V. Stump. Burial was in the Brookside Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers were: J.D. Dicken, Larry Dicken, David Dicken, Jimmy Brown, Michael Dragoo and Junior Cox.
