Many German born people went to Pekin to reside when they came to America. My ancestors included: EERTMOED & POPPINGA. I am well- acquainted with Pekin's history. DIECKMAN is another surname in the Pekin area. At least one son or grandson of Ben C. DIECKMAN went to Pekin, Illinois.
