KY Deed Bk C, p 63 Dowdall; Beauchamp; Cheatham; Lewis; Head; Wilson This Indenture made this Sixth day of June in the Year of our Lord eighteen hundred Between John Dowdal and Stacy his wife of the County of Washington of the one part and Costin Beauchamp of the County aforesaid of the other part. Witnesseth that they the said John Dowdal and Stacy his wife for and in consideration of the just and full sum of Sixty pounds current money to them the said John Dowdal and Stacy his wife in hand paid by the said Costin Beauchamp the receipt whereof they do hereby acknowledge have Granted bargained and sold and by these presents doth Give Grant bargain Sell Allen and confirm unto him the said Costin and his heirs and assigns forever a certain tract or parcel of land Situate lying and being in the County of Washington aforesaid and on the Chaplains fork of Salt river in a remarkable bend thereof including the place whereon the Said Beauchamp now lives and his mills and bounded as follows 9to wit) Beginning at a Spanish oak and ash on the Bank of Chaplain about thirty poles below the Sycamore corner running thence down Chaplins fork binding thereon at ___ water mark at _ a beech and sugartree on the bank thereof in Cheathams line thence with the said line South ten degrees East one hundred and twenty two poles to a beach in said line at C on the South side of a hill thence the division line between the said Beauchamp and Lewis North eighty degrees East one hundred eighty one poles to the Beginning. To have and to hold, the above sold lands and premises with every appurtenances thereunto Belonging or in any wise appertaining unto him the Costin Beauchamp and his heirs and assigns forever, and they the said John Dowdal and Stacy his wife, for themselves their heirs Executors Admors. & assigns does warrant and forever defend the Said tract or parcel of land unto him the said Costin Beauchamp and his heirs forever against the claim or claims of all and every person or persons whatsoever In Witness whereof they the said John Dowdal & Stacy his wife have hereunto set their hand and affixed their seals the day and Year above Written.
