Breckinridge County Herald-News, Friday, June 9, 1961 OBITUARY HARNED SPECIAL (BRECKINRIDGE 
COUNTY):
     Mrs Austin DOWELL died Saturday, May 27, 1961.  She was 84 years old, and the daughter of James 
and Mary KENNEDY, deceased.  She was married in May 1946 to Mr. Austin DOWELL.  She is survived by:
her husband, Mr. Austin DOWELL
one son by a previous marriage:
Clarence DOWELL
two sisters:
Mrs. Asia NORTON of Louisville, Ky (Jefferson County) Mrs. James POOLE of Route __, Leitchfield, Ky 
(Grayson County) one brother:
Rufus KENNEDY of Louisville, Ky
     Funeral services were held on Wednesday, May 31, 1961 from the Garfield Cumberland Presbyterian 
Church, presided over by her nephew, the Reverend Ray MORRIS.

Breckinridge County Cemeteries, volume one, published in 1991:
Freedom Cumberland Presbyterian Church Cemetery. Turn north immediately west of Dead Man's Curve 
from Highway 60.  The church lies east of the road and is blocked from view by a low ridge.
