"AN ACCIDENT which cost young Geo. Dugard his life occured on his father's farm 
in the vicinity of Bailey's store at about 9 o'clock last Thursday morning. 
Young Dugard was assisting his father in cutting down a tree, and in attempting 
to run from under it, when it began to fall, got excited and ran in the wrong 
direction, and was caught under it and crushed to death. The unfortunate young 
man was a son of Mr. Seth W. Dugard and was about nineteen years old at the 
time of his death. He was a very popular young man in his neighborhood, was 
highly respected by all who knew him, and his sudden and tragic taking away is 
greatly lamented."
