She was born in Breckinridge County, KY on 3-16-1942, the daughter of the late Ubie and Artie Lee Rusher Duke. She was preceded in death her brother - Cletus Duke, 2 sisters - Ruth Duke and Gertrude Smiley, 1 nephew - Ronnie Smiley
 
Betty is survived by her brother and sister-in-law: James and Charlotte Duke - McQuady,KY
9 nieces and nephews: Robin Canary, Charleen Lohse, Susanna Apke, Artie Young, Doris Blair, Janie Sturgel, James Duke II, Mark Bissmeyer, Carl Duke, Rodger Smiley

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, 3-15-2008 at 1PM at Trent-Dowell Funeral Home with Rev. Harry Dooley officiating. Burial will be in the McQuady Cemetery. Visitation on Friday from 5-8PM and after 8:30AM Saturday.
