DUTSCHKE William Henry Dutschke died at his home at Ammons at 2:50 o'clock Friday morning, January 17, of carcinoma after an illness of several weeks. He was 75 years of age. Mr. Dutschke was a well known farmer and business man, of this community for nearly forty years and is known by nearly everyone in the county. Not only will his wife and relatives miss him, but all who knew him for he was known for his kindness to his wife; fairness in business dealings; of excellent character, and most of all he was true to the church and his God. Mr. Dutschke was born near Union Star, February 1, 1861, the son of Augustus and Polly Dutschke, of a family of nine children only three of whom survive. They are Mrs. Wilda Keys of Lodiburg; Mrs. Ida Nottingham of Webster, and James G. Dutschke of Cecilia. He was married to Lucinda B. Shaw and to this union were born three sons and one daughter; Elbert Owen Dutschke and George Nottingham Dutschke of Ammons; William Carlton Dutschke, Louisville; Mrs. B.V. Lewis of Ammons. Only one of his children, Elbert Owen, preceded him in death. The funeral service was held Saturday in the English Baptist church at 11:30 a.m., with the Rev. V.A. Polk officiating.
