Deed Bk C, p 90 Kirk; Eagin; Mc Dowell; Phillips; Handfores; This Indenture made this ninth day of October one thousand eight hundred and four Between Henry Kirk and Seally his wife, of the County of Washington and State of Kentucky of the one part and Michael Eagin of the County and State aforesaid of the other part WITNESSETH that the said Henry Kirk and Seally his wife for and in consideration of seventy five pounds in property at cash price to them in hand paid the receipt hereof they do hereby acknowledge have granted bargained and sold and by these presents do grant bargain and sell unto the aforesaid Michael Eagin his heirs and assigns a certain tract or parcel of land lying and being in the County aforesaid on the waters of Hardins Creed Beginning on Mailers road run at a blue ash hickory and ironwood in McDowels line thence south thirteen degrees east eighty four poles to a White oak dogwood and elm thence south seventy seven degrees west two hundred and twenty to a blue ash and sugartree in a small branch thence south twenty one degrees east forty three poles to a Black Walnut and sugartree thence North sisty three degrees ease seventy six poles to a buckeye and red oak corner to Benjamin Phillips thence south forty three degrees east eighty poles to a white oak and sugartree thence north eighty two degrees east one hundred and ninety four poles to a white oak and ash thence south five degrees east ninety four poles to a buckeye white oak and elm thence east one hundred and sixteen poles to a dogwood and white oak in John E. Handfores line thence north one hundred and seventy five poles to an ash mulberry and sugartree in _____ Grayhams line thence west thirty two poles to two ironwoods and white oak thence north twenty poles to two ironwood thence west one hundred and eighty poles to the beginning Containing two hundred and twenty acres of land together with all and Singulary its appurtenances and all the [estate ?] right and title interest claim and Demand whatsoever with ____ the said Henry Kirk and Seally his wife do forever warrant and defend to the said Eagin his heirs and assigns against themselves their heirs &c and the claim or claims of any person or persons whatsoever but if the aforesaid land or any part of it should be legally taken from said Eagin his heirs or assigns the said Kirk and wife are only to refund to said Eagin his heirs of assigns the aforesaid sum of seventy five pounds in property at cash price or a proportionable part if only a part of said land should be lost.
