       W.N. Eldridge, 77 of 319 East Arch St. died at 10:45 pm. Sunday in 
Hopkins County Hospital after a 14 year illness. He had been a patient in 
the hospital many times during the 14 years, the last stay numbering eleven 
weeks. 
	He was a retired coal weighman and until illness forced his retirement
 was employed by Vogue Mine of the Peabody Coal Company. He was a native of  
Tennessee. 
	Survivors include his wife Mrs. Nannie M. Eldridge, two daughters Mrs. 
Clarence Edwards, 122 Virginia St, Madisonville; Mrs. Clarence DeMoss of 
Sturgis; two grandsons, James Allen and Michael Eldridge DeMoss, of Sturgis.  
	The body is at Harris Funeral Home, where final rites will be held 
Wednesday at 2pm. Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetary.
