Harrodsburg Herald 

ELKIN
	Mr. James Elkin, a half brother of Z. Taylor Elkin, of this place died, Monday morning, at the home of his sister, Mrs. David Curd, near Curdsville, this county. The funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon, and the remains interred in the family burying ground of Mr. Greenup Jenkins.
	The deceased ate a hearty supper Sunday night, and seemed to be in good health when he retired, though he complained of a feeling of heaviness over the heart. He was found dead in bed the next morning.
