To all to whom these presents shall come We Nathaniel WEST and Elizabeth WEST 
(late Elizabeth LEWIS) both of Shelby County in the Commonwealth of Kentucky 
Send Greeting 
      Know ye that we the Said Nathaniel WEST and Elizabeth WEST wife of the 
Said Nathaniel WEST do make Constitute and appoint by these presents Robert 
EVANS of the Said County of Shelby our true only and absolute attorney for us 
and in our names to ask demand and receive from the Excorso Exors or execution 
of the Last Will and Testament of Thomas LEWIS deceased late of Loudon County 
in the Commonwealth of Virginia all such Legacy or Legacies and personal Estate 
as is by the Said Will devised to us or either of us by the Said Thomas LEWIS 
deceased and when so received to give acquittals and Sufficient discharges for 
the Same as fully and amply as we might or could do was we personally present 
holding for him and affectuate all my said attorney may or Shall Lawfully in 
the premisses and we do further and officially authorize and impower our Said 
attorney Robert EVANS to Sell for the best Price he can procure all and 
Singular Such tract or tracts of Land or others and all Such real Estat 
e as shall be devised to us or either of us  the Son in Law and daughter or 
either of the Said Thomas LEWIS by his Last Will and Testament to any person or 
persons as he may think proper and for us and in our names and on our behalf to 
make Sign and Seal Such Instrument or instruments in Writing as in the Law 
Shall be necessary and Sufficient to Convey to the purchaser or purchasers a 
good Sufficient and complete Estate of ___ ____ Inheritance in Simple to all 
Such land and real Estate as our Said attorney may Sell and dispose of by 
virtue of these presents holding for good and hereby Confirming all our said 
Attorney may Lawfully do by virtue of these presents as fully amply and 
completely as we could do were we personally present  In Testimony whereof we 
the Said Nathaniel WEST and Elizabeth WEST (wife of the Said Nathaniel WEST 
hath to these presents Sets our hands and Seals this 15th day of September 1795
