F. H. Cunningham, 37, pastor of the Christian Church at Carlisle, were killed when the small coupe in which they were riding was stuck by a freight train at the Pike Street crossing in Cynthiana tonight. According to witnesses, Ewing who was driving the car, had stopped for a north-bound train, but he pulled onto the track just as the caboose cleared the crossing and the car was struck by a south-bound train. Ewing was dead when extricated from the wreckage, Rev. Mr. Cunningham was rushed to Harrison Memorial Hospital, where he died several hours later. Wreckage of the Automobile caught fire and was destroyed. The fire spread to the rail- road station and fireman were called to extinguish the flames.
