Deed Bk C, p 5, 6 DENBO; FURGUSON; RUDE; FUNK; HELM This Indenture made this first day of February in the year of our Lord eighteen hundred and five Between Robert DENBO & Maryan DENBO his wife of the County of Hardin & State of Kentucky of the one part & Usher FURGUSON of the County and State aforesaid of the other part. Witnesseth that the said Robert DENBO & Maryan his wife for and in consideration of the sum of seventy five pounds Current money of said State to them in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged have bargained granted and sold and by these presents Do bargain and sell to the sd Usher FURGUSON a certain tract or parcel of land containing one hundred and fifty acres lying and being in the sd County of Hardin on RUDES Creek waters of the valley Creek and being a part of fourteen hundred and thirty six and one third acres Survey mad in the name of John FUNK & bounded as follows (to wit) Beginning at two Black oak saplings standing on the north side of said RUDDS Creek, South twenty degrees West twenty two poles from the northeast and upper Corner of the original Survey – Running thence south eighty two degrees West one hundred and seventeen poles to three Burches near the south Bank of sd Creek thence south twenty West one hundred poles to a white oak sapling in the barrens thence South seventy eight west ninety five poles to a stake in the Barrens thence North twenty eight East one hundred & seventy poles to two white oaks saplings thence North twenty East one hundred and ninety eight poles to the Beginning – To Have and to hold the sd tract or parcel of land with its apputenances unto the said Usher FURGUSON his heirs or assigns forever and the said Robert DENBO and Maryan his wife for themselves & their heirs do further covenant and agree to and with the said Usher FURGUSON to warrant the above mentioned tract of land with all its appurtenances thereunto from all persons claiming the same. In Witness whereof the sd Robert DENBO and Maryan his wife have hereunto set their hands and seals the day and year above written.
