Fields.Ezra.1974.Pike.OBIT EZRA FIELDS Ezra Fields, 77, of Mouthcard, died at 11:20 a.m. Oct. 15 at his home after a long illness. Born in Pike County, he was a son of Robert Fields and Cora Deskins Fields. He was a member of the Church of Christ. He was a World War I veteran. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Gladys Hunt Fields; two stepsons, Ben Coleman of Michigan and Vernon Coleman of Delaware; four daughters, Mrs. Emma Ruth Stump and Mrs. Bonita Fleming, both of Mouthcard, Mrs. Thelma Layne of Mobile AL, and Mrs. Janie Alice Ziegler of Napoleon OH; two sisters, Mrs. Kathy Ball of McVeigh and Mrs. Alta Fields of Grundy VA; 17 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Friday at the Mountain View Church of Christ. Jim Hill officiated. Burial followed in the Bevins Cemetery at Phyllis under direction of the Justice Funeral Home.
