In order to divide about eighty nine acres of land heretofore conveyed by B. 
F. Lewis & his wife Elizabeth Lewis to his two daughters Emily C. & M. B. 
Lewis Said B. F. Lewis reserving a life Estate in said lands.  Said M. B. 
Lewis (now Flena) and her husband Rufus Flena have this day Sold and Conveyed 
unto Emily C. McGinnis all their rights title and interest in the following tract 
of land located in Warren County on the north side of Barren River near the junction 
of the L & N turnpike and Glasgow road.  Beginning in the turnpike road thence N 
50-1/2 E 40 poles to the center of the mouth of the Glasgow road thence with the 
same S 46-3/4 E 47 poles to a point in the center of the Glasgow road passing over 
the center of the well at 38 poles thence S
54-1/2 E 94 poles thence S 63 E 31 poles to a stone Hays corner thence with Hays line 
S 3-1/2 W 96-1/2 poles to his corner a Stone and Corner to M. A. 
White thence with her line N 60 W 52 poles to a stone her corner thence with her line 
S 20 W 29 poles to a stone J. W. Lewis Corner thence with his line N 60 W 70 poles to 
a stone his Corner thence N 20-1/4 E 84 poles to a hickory thence N 52 W 99 poles to 
the Beginning Except the following portion of the above described tract Beginning at a
Stone set in the Glasgow Road thence S 54-
1/4 E 14 poles thence S 63 E 34 poles to Hays Corner a stone thence with their line S 
3-1/2 W 96-1/2 poles to a stone their corner and corner to Mary White's land thence with 
her line N 60 W 52 poles to a stone her Corner thence with her line S 20 W 29 poles to a 
stone J. W. Lewis Corner thence N 60 W 36 poles to a stone thence N 28 E 116 poles to the 
Beginning including 44-1/2 acres of land.  To have & to hold said land except the 44-1/2 
acres unto Said Emily C. 
McGinnis with general warranty of title by Said Medora Lewis.  Reference is hereby made 
to the Deed of B. F. Lewis & wife to his two Daughters recorded in Deed Book No. 43 Page 
528.  In witness of all which we have hereunto Subscribed our hands this 2nd Day of 
October 1876.

I Ludlow L. Cooke Clerk of the Warren County Court and State aforesaid do certify that 
the foregoing Deed from M. B. Flena and husband R. M. Flena to Emily C. McGinnis was 
this day produced to me in my office and acknowledged by M. B. Flena and R. M. Flena to 
be their act and Deed and that I have recorded Same together with the certificate in my 
office as required by law.  Given under my hand this the 2nd Oct 1876.
