FLOOD, age 68, the eldest son of the late James FLOOD and Elizabeth CARROLL FLOOD, died of a heart attack in Louisville (Jefferson County), Ky, on October 4, 1960. He was born and reared in Breckinridge County on February 22, 1914. He married Miss Leonora WILSON of Cloverport (Breckinridge County), Ky. They bought his grandmother's, Mrs. CARROLL'S farm, and they lived there several years, then they moved to Illinois where he was city marshall for years in the little town of Alexis. There his wife died leaving eight children, one preceded her in death. Survivors of Mrs. FLOOD are: Robert W. FLOOD, Northbrook, Illinois Mrs. Walter KILLIP, Alexis, Illinois Mrs. Gerald LIGGETT, Galesburg, Illinois Mrs. Kenneth MOORE, McAllen, Texas Mrs. Marshall ELLIS, Louisville, Ky. James V. FLOOD, Louisville, Ky. Ralph FLOOD, Louisville, Ky. Joseph FLOOD, Louisville, Ky. five sisters: Mrs. Harvey POTTS, Hardinsburg (Breckinridge County), Ky. Mrs. Ed HENNING, Hardinsburg, Ky. Mrs. John ROACH, Cloverport, Ky. Mrs. Robert FISCHER, Cloverport, Ky Mrs. G. M. KIDDER, Arnaudville, Louisiana three brothers: Pete FLOOD, Hardinsburg, Ky. Vincent FLOOD, Hardinsburg, Ky. John A. FLOOD, Cloverport, Ky. The body was taken to Russman Funeral Home, then Thursday was sent to Alexis, Illinois for burial from the St. Theresa Church. She was buried in the church cemetery.
