Samuel Edward Ford, age 59, of Irvington, died Saturday, May 4, 2002 at his 
home.  Mr. Ford was born August 22, 1942 in Breckinridge County, the son of the 
later Loyd Ford and Rosa Mae Basham.  He was a retired carpenter. 
Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Linda Simmons Ford; two daughters, Donna Brown, 
Meade County, and Sherry Medley, Flaherty; four sisters, Shirley Reynolds and 
Louise Saylor, both of McDaniels, Altia Peters, Cecilia, and Raw Wanda Howard, 
Irvington; a brother, Vernie R. Ford, Hardinsburg; and three granchildren, 
Tabitha Nicole Brown, Erica Rose and Derrick Hunter Medley. 
The funeral was held Tuesday, May 7, at Trent-Dowell Funeral Home, Hardinsburg, 
with the Rev. Kenneth Neafus officiating.  Burial was in Custer Cemetery.
